Dr. Hausberg took up the position as Assistant Professor for the new chair of Technology and Innovation Management in December 2014. Since January 2021, he works as a Senior Consultant for Ramboll Management Consulting and continuous to serve as a supernumerary professor at the University of Osnabruck.

Previously, he was a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at the chair of Management & Digital Markets since its inauguration in July 2013. He holds a PhD in Management from LUISS Guido Carli University, Rome. His dissertation thesis was on "Intra-Firm Knowledge Integration and Innovation Performance: The Role of Departmental Absorptive Capacities and Firm Environment".

Professor Hausberg has studied at the Saarland University, Saarbrücken, where he was involved in teaching at the Chair of Innovation & Technology Management (ITM, today ORBI). After a year at the Ecole Supérieure de Gestion (ESG-PGSM), Paris, he concluded his studies in business and economics at the University of Wuppertal with a thesis on Open Innovation receiving the degree of Diplom-Ökonom. He concomitantly worked as a research assistant at the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment, and Energy.

His current research interests are at the intersection of the research streams on Digital Markets and Innovation Management and in particular Open Innovation.
