Profile of the department

The department Organization and Information Systems is part of the Institute of Information Management and Information Systems Engineering (IMU) and thus belong to the School of Business Administration and Economics. Our courses include offers in the fields of:

• electronic commerce/electronic business
• project management
• business process management
• organization and information technology

In addition we take care of the academic basic education of our students by teaching them the formal tools of proper scientific work. In the research area we concentrate on the following fields:

• business process management
• project management
• Industry 4.0
• higher education management
• social media
• electronic learning
• supply chain management
• enterprise content management systems

We have an extensive amount of experience in projects with companies and are interested in cooperations regarding the above mentioned competence areas. We are open-minded for any kind of cooperation starting with the arrangement of student thesis in companies, a joint financed research work of doctoral students or working on a common project by using resources of students or doctoral students of the department.
