Welcome to the Research Group in Accounting and Information Systems, one of five Information Systems Departments at the University of Osnabrück. The Department of Accounting and Information Systems, under the direction of Prof. Dr. Frank Teuteberg since 2007, is part of the Institute of Information Management and Corporate Governance (IMU). Based on a solid theoretical foundation, the research and teaching conducted at the area of Accounting and Information Systems aims at developing concepts, (reference-) models, processes and information systems for practical applications to the field of value-oriented corporate management.
Theoretical and practical orientation are not mutually exclusive in this respect, but are understood to be complementary aspects of academic work at the Department of Accounting and Information Systems. The aim of the available academic programs is to impart rational concepts, theoretical approaches, practically applicable methods, and proficiency in the use of relevant standard software for analysis, planning, and reporting with regard to corporate management.
A high priority for us is to support junior researchers. We offer qualified graduates an exciting, demanding, and supportive environment for their doctoral work.
